• Record and analyze operating expenses, working with various groups across the organization
• Perform a wide variety of general accounting functions including, but not limited to preparation, review, and approval of journal entries, month-end closing processes, financial reporting, year-end schedules and reports, budget monitoring, and assist with annual audit preparations.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Value FG inventory & manage relationships with the operations team to ensure processes & counts are complete & accurate.
• Monitor and maintain CAPEX development spend against the plan.
• Review and approve A/R & A/P, aging review and post the entries.
• Manage and support bookkeepers with their daily activities.
• Support the business financial needs of subsidiaries (Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, and San Antonio).
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Prepare/assist with the preparation of federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
• Contribute to the development of new accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Coordinate accounting functions and programs with different departments.
• Prepare revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
• Assist with monitoring budgets.
• Prepare financial analyses and reports.
• Devise proposals to improve accounting processes to shorten time to close, improve controls and ensure scalability as the business grows.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, CPA desirable.
