JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Asset Manager/Compliance ManagerFLSA:
ExemptDIVISION: Asset ManagementREPORTS TO: AVP, Property and Asset
Management SALARY: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00LOCATION: Yonkers,
NYSUMMARY:TheReal Estate Asset Managerand Compliance provides
support to the AVP in overseeing the health and compliance of a
portfolio of 600+ affordable and permanent supportive housing
units. This role provides oversight to all compliance matters
related to our properties, and closely monitors the fiscal and
regulatory compliance aspects in conjunction with the AVP.DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze operating reports, rent rolls, vacancy, collections and
arrears reporting for permanent housing portfolio.
- Assist in the preparation of annual compliance audits for
lenders, syndicators and outside agencies.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reporting for
investors, government agencies and internal reporting.
- Prepare and analyze annual income expense reporting to identify
trends and assist with underwriting new projects.
- Assist with annual real estate tax filings, as well as real
estate tax abatement applications and grievances.
- Assist with repositioning assets, i.e. refinancing, year 15
exits, etc.
- Prepare revenue budgets for properties, and work with finance
to analyze expenses.
- Respond to financial inquiries from banks, loan servicers, tax
credit syndicators, and regulatory agencies.
- Work with finance and the facilities department on capital
expenditure budgets.
- Ensure that property management department is incompliance with
rent collection, leasing and regulatory agreements, and make
recommendations for improvement in tracking.
- Coordinate activities/projects in conjunction with Property
Managers and ensure timely completion on all tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree required with three or more years of
experience in finance, property management or asset management.
Affordable housing/LIHTC compliance experience a plus. Candidate
must have excellent computer and phone skills and be proficient in
Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong organizational, planning and
time management skills are crucial to success in this role.AGENCY
