Job Description: This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Position Summary: This role is for a Senior Technology Manager responsible for defining and executing the enterprise data strategy in FICC across multiple asset classes including Mortgages, Municipals, Credit, and Rates, covering global regions across U.S., Canada, and EMEA. The successful candidate will have 15 years of experience in hands-on FICC products, data management, architecture, and analytics development, and will lead global teams to deliver high-performance, scalable data platforms. The role requires engagement with senior business stakeholders and technology leadership to create a vision and roadmap for data architecture, warehousing, and analytics platforms that meet front office, risk, finance, and regulatory requirements. The candidate will drive modernization of legacy platforms, implement best practices in data governance and quality, and ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards. This position requires excellent communication, collaboration, and people management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities across business-as-usual and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will balance traditional relational database technologies with emerging Big Data and NoSQL solutions to optimize performance and scalability for diverse business needs. In addition, the role demands strong expertise in data mining techniques to uncover actionable insights and advanced data architecture skills to design and implement robust, scalable data ecosystems. Responsibilities: Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders Create and communicate the vision and roadmap for enterprise data strategy across multiple asset classes (Mortgages, Munis, Equities, Credit, Rates) and regions (US, Canada, EMEA). Define strategic direction for data warehousing, analytics, and reporting platforms to meet front office, risk, finance, and regulatory requirements. Manage multiple streams in data management, analytics, data migration, trade capture, and reference data. Support technology transformation initiatives by introducing emerging data technologies and frameworks where appropriate. Managerial Responsibilities: This position may also have responsibilities for managing associates. Required Qualifications: 15 years of experience in data management and technology leadership within capital markets. Strong knowledge of data warehousing technologies and best practices. Hands-on experience with relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server). Familiarity with Big Data and NoSQL technologies and ability to design fit-for-purpose architectures. Expertise in data modeling, schema design, indexing, and query optimization for high-performance environments. Proven ability to lead global teams and deliver complex, large-scale data initiatives. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Understanding of front office, risk, finance, and regulatory data requirements across multiple asset classes. Proficiency and/or knowledge of modern data technologies including Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Competency with Python and/or Java.
