We're looking for a Network Engineer II to join our team in
Valhalla, NY.
As a Network Engineer II, you will design, support, install, and
maintain Cerner's internal network infrastructure, related
technologies and equipment. You will be responsible for designing,
installing, and maintaining local area networks, wide area network,
and wireless network components, work on and maintain hardware
components, including firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches
and access points. You will coordinate network changes and
communicate with impacted stakeholders, perform project work to
update or replace network equipment and troubleshoot network
connectivity issues. You will also be responsible for configuring
or upgrading network components, documenting network diagrams, and
mentoring and supporting associates in daily tasks and
troubleshooting.
Basic Qualifications
At least 6 years total combined related work experience and
completed higher education, including:
At least 1 year system administration and/or system engineering
work experience
At least 5 years additional work experience directly related to the
duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,
Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, or
equivalent relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) - CWNP
Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) - Cisco
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - Cisco
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Wireless - Cisco
At least 2 years experience with the following: Cisco Networks,
Cisco Nexus Core, Cisco Firewalls, Alcatel Network
Expectations
Must reside in or around the Valhalla, NY area
May be required to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network
equipment
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed
by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security
policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding
corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent
and report any compromises of security within scope of position

Responsibilities
Provide support to internal users of Oracle Applications and legacy
applications and ensure maximum efficiency in the use of those
applications. Respond to requests for support by users. Test and
coordinate testing of new releases of Oracle Applications. Log bugs
against applications and follow up with IT and Development. Monitor
future applications releases. Train users on features of
applications. Maintain applications responsibilities based on work
group of user. Act as reporting resource. Represent users at Data
Center meetings, user meetings at quarter end and whenever

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific
to the stated location(s)
California Pay Range: from $29.86 to $58.17 per hour; from $62,100
to $121,000 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
Colorado Pay Range: from $28.22 to $52.36 per hour; from $58,700 to
$108,900 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
New York City Pay Range: from $28.22 to $55.24 per hour; from
$58,700 to $114,900 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
Washington Pay Range: from $31.54 to $55.24 per hour; from $65,600
to $114,900 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to
account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market
conditions, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products,
industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the
preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
