Job Description Job Description Job Title: Industrial Electrician Job Description Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment according to electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints. Responsibilities Install new equipment, maintain and repair existing electrical systems. Pull electrical wiring through conduit and terminate electrical panels. Set fixtures, outlets, and various electrical devices. Install and connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components. Bend and remove conduit, and install/replace lighting fixtures and systems. Inspect, test, install, and repair electrical circuits using electrical tools and multimeters. Program and read/interpret blueprints. Familiarize with updated NEC codes. Troubleshoot and install electrical equipment and instrumentation. Understand the operation of automatic transfer switches and perform non-factory repairs. Perform scheduled instrument calibrations and record results in computerized data files. Communicate deficiencies to supervision according to instrument control procedures. Set up and configure new instruments. Interface regularly with internal and external quality/customer audits. Manage data, filing, and organizational tasks. Work proficiently with variable frequency drives. Essential Skills Experience with electrical systems installation and maintenance. Troubleshooting skills and ability to work with up to 480v and 3-phase motors. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics. Proficiency in pulling wire and conduit bending. Familiarity with industrial settings. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Ability to program for industrial instrumentation or have appropriate prior experience. In-house training as a Calibration Technician. Demonstrated mechanical and electrical background. Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out, NFPA 70E, and other safety procedures. Basic computer skills for data entry and database use. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a first shift opportunity from 6am to 2:30pm in a chemical manufacturing plant, working with various industrial equipment. The facility is both indoor and outdoor, experiencing extreme temperatures in summer and winter. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of South Plainfield, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $79040.00/yr. Medical, dental, 401k, PTO Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in South Plainfield,NJ.
