At our core, we’re a company that believes we can always create a better way. Quad Westampton, NJ is looking for experienced Bindery Operators. This role ensures effective operation including safety, make-ready, quality, production, training, and basic maintenance. Utilizes all Quad procedures, and maintains required paperwork relating to bindery operations. Communicates professionally with all internal and external customers. This position directly helps Quad drive profitability by reducing the cost of errors through consistent work quality and improved efficiencies. Bindery operator is night shift 12-hours (7pm-7am). Starting salary is $21.55 but willing to go higher based off experience and knowledge of our equipment RESPONSIBILITIES - Reads and understands Job Instructions, Formatted sample, machine templates, and Make-ready/sign-off procedures - Performs Daily Preventative Maintenance on assigned bindery equipment - Responsible for the safe and effective operation of assigned bindery equipment. - Performs Quality Checks on products. - Provides training and direction to newly hired or promoted bindery crewmembers. - Responsible for maintaining production standards - Follows all established safety procedures and guidelines. - Maintains job-related records and inputs production into Quad systems as required. - Manages self-development - Actively participates in safety programs, follows safety policies and procedures and maintains a safe work environment. - Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS (Specific knowledge, skills, education, and abilities): - 2-3 years of bindery Experience - Knowledge of MBO folders (both sheet fed and roll fed), rollem slit/score/perf units, spedo cutters, hot melt and cold glue units, and auto feed laminators and die cutters, equipment helpful - Strong mechanical aptitude We offer excellent benefits to eligible employees, including 401(k), holidays, vacations and more.
