Engineer, you will shape the way our advanced defense systems are
built, ensuring efficient, high quality production that supports
critical national security objectives. Your expertise will directly

hardware delivered to our customers. THE WORK The Manufacturing
Methods Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing
assembly processes, creating clear documentation, and supporting
operators across multiple programs. Working closely with design
engineering, procurement, and program management, you will drive
continuous improvement and ensure manufacturing readiness for high
visibility defense platforms. In this role you will: • Develop and
refine assembly processes, incorporating Lean Manufacturing
principles to improve efficiency and reduce cost. • Write concise,
complete process instructions and production documentation,
ensuring alignment with engineering drawings and models. •
Collaborate with production, design engineering, procurement,
program management, and manufacturing personnel to address
production challenges and recommend solutions. • Investigate
production problems, evaluate materials, and propose modifications
to processes or tooling to enhance quality and meet manufacturing
conditions. • Design and assist in the development of tooling,
including concepts for welding, brazing, painting, and finishing
operations where applicable. • Operate and program automated
equipment, and utilize cranes, lifts, and hoists to support
assembly of large structures, wiring, cabling, coax, fiber optics,
and soldering to IPC J Std. • Lead training initiatives,
independently instructing and mentoring personnel on new processes
and experimental work to drive cost reductions and quality
improvements. • Apply Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and
standard Microsoft Office tools to support process development and
data analysis. Please Note: This position requires a government

computer skills including standard Microsoft Office programs and
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for process development. •
Ability to write concise, complete process instructions. • Ability
to work and communicate with production, design engineering,
procurement, program management, and manufacturing personnel. •
Experience with engineering drawings and models. • Experience with
electronic assemblies or similar field. This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. Desired skills • Familiar with standard
manufacturing practices: wiring , cabling , coax, fiber optic ,
soldering to IPC-J-Std, machining and mechanical assembly of large
structures, programming/running automated equipment. Familiar with
the use of cranes, lifts and hoists to assist in assembly. • Able
to work independently to instruct and train personnel. May initiate
and/or supervise experimental or developmental work to reduce
costs, improve quality, or meet manufacturing conditions. •
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles to plan, coordinate, and
implement process improvement projects. • Familiarity with tool
design concepts. • Knowledge of welding / brazing or painting /

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. National Pay Statement The base range for this
position in New Jersey is $64,725 - $139,471. Benefits offered:

Holidays. The wage range and benefits summary is a general
