This position is responsible for delivering Liberty's enterprise Operational Excellence strategy by leading deployments of a Lean Management System in the organization. We are looking for an effective collaborator with energy, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude who can empower others, gain buy-in and achieve results. It will require working with teams and leadership to build continuous improvement practices in the business to deliver better outcomes for customers, employees and shareholders. We are looking for an authentic leader who can build strong relationships and can clearly communicate, motivate and drive accountability. This approach is expected to deliver the following business outcomes: Increased operational maturity, improved operational and financial performance measures and increased employee engagement. This position can be based in NY, NH or MA.

  • Must be able to train, coach and influence leaders and teams in Operational Excellence, Lean management systems and continuous improvement approaches. Must have an advanced level of listening and verbal communication skills, change management and group facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work with leaders to establish goals and performance indicators
  • Ability to drive for results and an action-oriented self-starter. Inspires employees to create their own action plans and achieve results
  • Ability to develop and improve our continuous improvement methodology, training and coaching materials.
  • Development of new processes, methods and approaches to enhance and add additional business value
  • Development of change and communication plans to support deployments
  • Must be able to develop strategies and tactics to mitigate resistance to change at both an individual and group level.
  • Must have a good understanding of statistical techniques related to process improvement, and an ability to analyze data to gain insights and support problem solving.
  • Must be able to provide and demonstrate insights. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills including persuasive, data rich presentation skills.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead cross-functional teams through current state assessments, process mapping exercises, problem solving and root cause analysis and future state design sessions.
  • Ability to adapt to different personal and learning styles.
  • Strong consulting and relationship management skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships at various levels in the organization.
  • Strong analytical problem solver that can work with teams to identify opportunities and can drive rapid, focused, and data-driven solutions.
    Education and Experience
    • Must have advanced knowledge in Lean and Operational Excellence approaches, bringing credibility to the role and ability to influence senior leaders and teams.
    • 5-10 years of experience
    • University - Bachelor degree or equivalent
    • Expertise - advanced/well-developed skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline involving the integration of theory and principles with organizational practices and precedents
    • Travel requirements 50% of the time.
