Job Description:
Partners with management to strategically and tactically address
supervisory, management and employee needs. Provides day to day
support to management in the interpretation and application of
company policies and procedures, regulatory guidelines and
collective bargaining agreements.Position Functions and
Responsibilities
- Promotes Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Centers Mission and Core

- Works closely with supervisors and managers to ensure the
consistent and fair resolution of employee relations issues.
Ensures all data available is reviewed prior to rendering a
decision that is in the best interest of the employee and the
company.
- Assists in the development and implementation of Human
Resources projects and initiatives that encompass a variety of
topics ranging from performance management, benefits, compensation,
data integrity, and job alignment, standardization of pay
practices, HR processes, metrics and analytics.
- Responsible for providing support to management in a variety of
forums including company programs and policies, organizational
development, employee and labor relations, recruiting assistance,
benefits and performance management. Assignments may focus on
service delivery and across locations providing guidance on routine
issues.
- Effectively manages Labor Relations activities including
investigating union concerns, responding to grievances, and
counseling managers in contract compliance.
- May counsel employees concerning work-related problems and
conduct exit interviews providing feedback to management as
appropriate.
- Coordinates investigations to ensure appropriate resolution of
all employee issues and concerns. Works proactively with Managers
to mitigate future issues.
- Assists with recruitment and onboarding activities ensuring
talent is sourced for cultural fit and requisite skill set and new
staff is appropriately transitioned into new role.
- Assists in related areas of Talent Management as necessary,
including coordination of performance management activities,
guidance in benefits counseling, and maintenance of data within the
HRIS system.
- Maintains work-related statistics and prepares reports as
necessary. Contributes to monthly HR metrics as necessary.
- Participates in organizational development programs and
retention strategies as necessary.
- Assist with the transition and implementation of HR policies,
practices and processes
- Identifies trends and provides guidance to management to
mitigate employee relations issues and promote a positive work
culture.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending
educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;
establishes personal networks; participating in professional
societies.
- Complete special projects, as assigned
- Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by
your department director, and/or administrator.Bachelors degree,
preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources Management,
or related field of study. Masters preferred. Professional
certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years Human Resources experience with 2-3 in Employee
Relations, preferably in a healthcare setting or union
environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present to various level
of management
- Ability to aggregate data and analyze results
- Ability to organize tasks/projects effectively and delegate as
appropriate
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite; knowledge of HRIS a
