Job Description:

A healthcare facility in Rockland County is looking to add a new, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to their Emergency Room Night shift staff. In this role, the Emergency Room Nurse (RN) will be responsible for assessing, intervening and stabilizing a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action. Responsibilities: The Emergency Room Nurse (RN) will be responsible for:

• Managing the care of adult and/or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions
• Close communication with all members of the Healthcare team, as well as the ability to independently recognize the need for early intervention
• Providing -support, education and comfort to patients and their families during their Emergency Room experience
• Providing -IV insertion, intubation, medicine administration, blood drawing, and many other medical procedures
• Preparing -patients for surgery or diagnostic testing
• Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Nursing experience; 1+ year of experience in an Emergency Medicine environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
  • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Patient oriented
  • Great intepersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
