-Responsibilities -The Nurse Practitioner Performs health
assessments for prospective employees and corporate clients which
will include pre-employment, fitness for duty exams and annual
health screenings as appropriate to the age of clients and
employees served. - -
- Performs physical exams and medical evaluations for
Occupational Medicine Department.
- Assesses clients/employees requesting medical advice.
- Assesses clients/employees returning to duty following an
absence as per hospital policy.
- Communicates with managers regarding employee issues.
- Responsible for maintaining contact with employees who are out
of work, i.e., on disability and workers compensation.
- Maintains accurate records ON ALL Occupational Medicine charts
in accordance with sound clinical practice and in compliance with
regulatory agencies and hospital policy.
- Interprets public health laws governing control of communicable
disease and works with Infection Control Department.
- Functions as a resource for client/employee wellness.
- Assists with all aspects of Respiratory Protection Program
- Assists with Flu Program on annual basis.
- Administers PPDs/Vaccines as necessary.Qualifications
Possession of a current valid license to practice nursing in New
York State. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State
with at least one (1) year experience. Occupational Medicine
experience preferred. - Bachelors in Nursing Nurse Practitioner
