Hospitalist - Physician at St. Christopher's Hospital for
Children - Tower Health summary: The position is for a full-time
Pediatric Hospitalist and Director of Hospital Medicine Quality &
Patient Safety at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children,
involving direct patient care, clinical supervision, and teaching.
The role includes leading quality improvement and patient safety
initiatives, mentoring residents, and participating in academic
teaching through Drexel University and other partnerships. The
hospital is a Level I pediatric trauma center with extensive
pediatric specialties and a strong commitment to serving medically
underserved populations. Job Summary The Section of Hospital
Medicine at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is seeking a
full-time (1.0 FTE) BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist and Director of
Hospital Medicine Quality & Patient Safety (MD or DO). Clinical
responsibilities will include direct patient care, clinical
supervision, and teaching of housestaff on the resident teaching
service.This position will also lead inpatient quality improvement
and patient safety initiatives, conduct patient safety event
reviews, oversee pediatric resident quality and patient safety
curriculum, and mentor residents in their quality improvement
research. Faculty appointments are available through our primary
teaching affiliate, the Drexel University College of Medicine ,
with additional opportunities to teach learners through our
partnerships with Temple University School of Medicine and other
regional academic programs. St. Christopher’s is a Level I
pediatric trauma center with 188 inpatient beds, PICU, and Level IV
NICU.Founded in 1875 and celebrating its 150 th anniversary, St.

medically underserved patients in a resource-limited practice
setting Expertise in caring for hospitalized children as specified
in the Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) Core Competencies
Excellent clinical teaching and mentorship skills Experience in
quality improvement, patient safety, and/or clinical research
methodology BC/BE in PHM or General Pediatrics BLS and PALS

provides exceptional care to children throughout the Greater
