Compensation Manager will support and manage a variety of
compensation responsibilities, including compensation structure
development, salary survey management, and contributing to new
tools and processes that will help enable OwnBackup leaders to make
thoughtful compensation decisions. This position will report to the
Director, People Operations & Total Rewards and have the
opportunity to work directly with additional stakeholders across
all levels of the organization, helping to enhance our already
competitive compensation offerings.Your Day-to-Day Role
- Manage the development of OwnBackup's global compensation
structure to ensure equitable and competitive pay practices in
partnership with Director, HRBPs, and business leaders
- Manage salary survey process: participate in selection of
appropriate surveys and oversee completion of surveys, including
matching process of OwnBackup jobs to external survey
benchmarks
- Develop communications and facilitate training to educate the
leaders, managers, and employees on compensation management
processes and compensation philosophy
- Project manage compensation cycles such as the bi-annual
compensation cycles and compensation range updates
- Proactively monitor OwnBackup's compensation ranges/guidelines,
working closely with local People and Talent Acquisition teams to
identify trends and recommend adjustments
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of current and emerging
trends, developments and changes in legislation affecting
compensation
- Work on financial modeling for comp range changes, the
bi-annual increase process, pay-mix changes, annual headcount
budgeting etc.
- Perform ad-hoc compensation benchmarking for new roles as
neededYour Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree with a preferred focus in Human Resources,
Finance, Business or other related field
- 5+ years of relevant compensation experience
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in both Microsoft and Google Suite (e.g.
Google Sheets) required, simple macro to VBA skills is a plus
- Ability to develop analytics from multiple datasets and
communicate "data stories" in a clear and meaningful wayImportant
