Employees understand their individual roles in serving our customers, and this clarity of purpose encourages high job performance.About the TeamThe Engineering team is responsible for building healthcare payment solutions that allow providers to take point of care payments, manage the patient in-take process, and proactivaley reach out to patient for post-care payments. Our payment solutions go beyond payments and integrate payment transactions with any practice management system in the healthcare space. This is all done by adhering to well-known software development practices, such Scrum, TDD and peer code reviews. Our tech stack includes PHP/Symfony, React/Jquery, Webpack (encore) and leveraging serverless lambda functions when applicable.About the RoleHealthcare systems are complex systems that rely on accurate data that integrates well across systems. Given the complexity of healthcare payments we are looking for someone that has a quality control mindset and experience building highly available and highly scalable systems. As a member of this team, you will help drive the quality of our code by writing, testing and supporting the code that lives in our production environments. We focus on using test driven development methods because it allows us to gain confidence in the code we write and support. You will have an opportunity to partner with our product team to help drive new features, so our products remain competitive in the marketplace.For all full-time employees, we offer:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience building web applications using Front End framework, preferred React/Jquery
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS preprocessor (Less or Sass) and CSS framework like Boostrap or Material UI
  • Experience with Babel/ES6 and Webpack
  • Experience working with a Scrum/Agile team
  • Willingness to learn PHP/Symfony
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party API's
  • Experience building REST API's
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Proficient in version control systems such as Git
  • Database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or MS SQL ServerNice to Haves:
    • AWS Experience
    • Payment processing experience is a plus
