Berkeley Heights NJ (Onsite Monday to Friday) Type: Full
Time/C2H/C2C Job Description: The HP Tandem Modernization Architect
plays a strategic leadership role in driving the transformation of
legacy mainframe systems into modern, cloud-native architecture.
With 15 18 years of experience in core HP Tandem technologies such
as HP NonStop COBOL, TACL, Pathway, SQL/MP, and Enscribe, this role
would have deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of
modernization frameworks. The architect is responsible for leading
the migration of batch components to microservices-based solutions
on cloud platforms like AWS, while ensuring seamless integration
with enterprise systems. A foundation in python, cloud-native
design, and familiarity with event-driven architectures, Kafka, and
Flink is desirable. The role also involves designing integration
points between mainframe and distributed systems, guiding technical
teams, and aligning modernization efforts with business goals and
enterprise architecture standards.
