Job Description:

The position of paralegal within our firm is primarily focused on matrimonial and family law. Responsibilities include: Interview prospective clients over the phone or in-person Opening new files Collect and analyze intake information Collect all relevant documents Fully investigate each case Maintain contact with clients on regular basis. Explain procedures or forms to clients. Prepare documents and correspondence Diary files daily with detailed updates Must have strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast paced environment. Must have great people skills as the position requires a great deal of client contact. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Must to be able to prioritize work and work under pressure. Must be well organized and detail oriented. Must have exceptional communication and written skills. Must have computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and legal matrimonial software, including MatLaw. Must be able to draft Statements of Net Worth. Requirements: Requirements needed for position: Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Word and other applications to perform basic office tasks. Applicants should be capable of working independently and not be easily stressed by difficult clients or handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Applicants must possess diligent time keeping/time management skills, have a high attention to detail, ability to proof own work and have strong organizational skills. Applicants must be punctual and have a strong work ethic. Applicants must be able to interact professionally with clients and other office personnel. Salary commensurate upon experience.
