A--well-established labor law firm in Westchester County is looking for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal on a temporary to direct hire basis. (On-Site)The successful candidate must have experience working in a law firm, must be energetic, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, must be able to work well under pressure, and will possess exceptional communication and writing skills. The candidate must be professional, experience and capable of organizing and running all phases of Legal Services and Collections on a large scale.Skills: * Must be fluent in Spanish* Strong word processing and proofreading skills* Drafting and preparing legal documents* e-filing/ECF documents (electronic case filing)* Communicate with courts, clients and attorneys* Update firms' case management system* Prepare client status reports and billing* General office support: answering phones, responding to messages/emails, mail, copying & scanning documents* Must have excellent Microsoft Office Suite proficiency* Must be able to work independently* Ability to do legal research is a plusEducation and Experience: * 3-5 years of previous legal experience* Paralegal Certificate (ABA accredited)* In lieu of Paralegal Certificate, a related degree with 5+ years of relevant experience* Must be familiar with NYS Court and Federal CourtsPlease email us at kportillo@vanguardgroupstaffing.com with your cover letter, resume, and salary requirements.
