Job Description Job Description Description: Job Title: CDL Driver (FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY) This position is part of the bargaining unit represented by Teamsters Local 1205. All employees in this role are required to join the union and pay dues as a condition of employment. Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Driver to join our team. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products to various destinations while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires a professional who is attentive to safety regulations, punctual, dependable, and possesses excellent driving skills. Key Responsibilities: - Safely operate commercial vehicles including, but not limited to, tractor-trailers and ensuring compliance with all state and federal traffic laws and regulations. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety. - Accurately load, transport, and deliver goods to various locations, ensuring the safety and quality of the cargo during transit. - Maintain records of deliveries and accurately complete all necessary paperwork and logs. - Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations. - Plan routes efficiently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. - Report any mechanical issues, delays, or accidents to the appropriate parties promptly. - Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service at all delivery points. Qualifications: - Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - 2 years of proven experience as a CDL Driver is preferred. - In-depth knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations. - Ability to handle cargo safely and efficiently. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements: - Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive motions. - Capability to lift and move heavy packages and products up to 50 lbs. - Good physical condition to manage the demands of long driving hours and load handling. Working Conditions: - Frequent travel and overnight stays may be required depending on routes. - Adverse weather conditions may be encountered.
