2020 Seasonal Tennis Pro Shop Assistant (Light court and facility maintenance) at Richmond County Country Club, Staten Island, NY HIRING NOW TENNIS BACKGROUND Preferred 2020 Seasonal Tennis Pro Shop Assistant When: Hiring April/May and going through October Compensation: $15/hour Employment type: part-time Working hours: . Shifts range between 7:30AM-9PM Monday-Sunday in Summer and after school during the school year. We have one or two shifts per day. (NOTE: With fall and spring schedules, we alter the schedule a bit due to limited hours of play as we have no tennis court lights. We will be closing for the season in October and strong employees will be invited to return in the spring of 2021.) TENNIS JOB - We Prefer tennis playing or working background, but this isnt required. We can work with your other skills to complement the position. Please be available and eager to work all summer. This job is busy and an active outgoing person is required. Job entails handling incoming phone calls, making calls to promote events, answering questions and booking lessons. Tennis assistant will groom the tennis courts and perform light cleaning/maintenance jobs. The position requires a professional, friendly and outgoing personality and a neat appearance. Our work environment is busy and there are frequent tasks that need to be performed by the tennis assistants. Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times. WHO WE WANT - We are looking for someone who is professional and who constantly works to make the Club environment a better place. Computer knowledge and comfortability with the Microsoft Suite is desired. Having experience in the service industry preferred as well as tennis playing or working experience. Applicants who are outgoing, well groomed, and available weekdays and weekends are well suited for this position. We are looking for a very strong worker who knows how to deal with member needs and who will help out whenever they can. Staff here should be focused on member service and keeping the place as clean and stocked up for members as possible. Working hard and finding ways to improve the Tennis Center are traits that will help you succeed here. We reward the hardest workers with more hours, higher pay, and future employment.
