Job Description:
Seeking a PT Museum Curator with a degree in Museum Studies -
Manage and develop a small but growing artifact collection -
Maintain proper museum collections documentation and legal
paperwork - Donor cultivation for acquiring artifacts and archival
material - Maintain off site storage facilities - Develop &
implement professional museum standards, policies and procedures -
Research, develop and install lighthouse/ maritime related
historical exhibits and programs - Collaborate closely with and
advise Museum's Education and Collection Committees - Recruit and
supervise Collection/Exhibit Interns on an as needed basis -
Experience with Museum data bases - Past Perfect a plus - Flexible
hours - work location 2 minute walk from the Staten Island Ferry
