The Food Service Manager is in charge of coordinating all foodservice-related activities within the hospital and to its affiliated satellite units. Oversees the activities of food production staff and dietary aides. Develops and maintains safety and sanitation standards for foodservice within the hospital. Helps develop and maintain Patient Satisfaction and Performance Improvement Program pertaining to areas of responsibility. Serves as liaison with BHS, PCP, SNF, and CHDF. Supervises Food and Nutrition supervisors; responsible for evaluation performances, effective recommendations for hires, fires and disciplinary actions. Maintains temperature, PH lots, and safety and sanitation checklists.


Bachelors degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition or Business Administration required. Certified in Serv Safe required. Proficient in MS office (word, excel, powerpoint, etc.). Five years previous experience in food service with supervisory responsibilities. This position requires to work at all sites (Dobbs Ferry, Parkcare and Andrus pavilions)
