Job Summary : The Gift Officer will develop, implement, and
manage fundraising programs that lead to increasing support (gifts
of $1,000 25,000) for WMCHealth through the identification,
cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of current and
prospective donors. Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the SVP/Development, and regional
Development leadership, develop and establish short and long-term
fundraising goals and strategies for existing and prospective
donors. Duties will include cultivating individual giving, and
support Network and local strategies for corporate giving, special
event fundraising and fundraising initiatives.
- Cultivate donor support with a focus on identified
institutional priorities through multiple channels including face
to face personal solicitation, direct mail, e-communications.
- Assist in identifying annual giving prospects who have the
capacity for major gift support and work to develop donor outreach
and relationships as appropriate.
- Develop, manage, and expand a portfolio of donors.
- Identify new prospects, create donor strategies, and engage
with the Network Development team to promote effective stewardship
- May work with regional leadership on individual board member
engagement for the purpose of growing the board, encouraging board
participation and managing fundraising opportunities.
- May work with Development team to develop a volunteer structure
to support annual giving activities.
- Attend, support and participate in WMCHealth Network special
events, including nights and weekends as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required. Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience: 3 5 years of related experience in annual gift
fundraising; healthcare experience preferred. Education: Bachelors
degree or equivalent experience Licenses / Certifications: Other:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with a variety of internal and external constituents. Ability to
communicate effectively using a high level of written and oral
communication skills, persuasiveness, imagination and insight, as
evidenced by the ability to present the aims and objectives of the
development program in a manner that effectively informs and
persuades others. Knowledge of and technically familiar with
traditional and innovative fundraising programs; skill and ability
to work with faculty and staff members to identify needs consistent
with the vision of the institution. Excellent analytical,
organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with
Microsoft Office programs preferred. Special Requirements:
