Marine Scientist



Job Summary:

This job role will oversee and conduct surveys for marine construction, civil engineering, cable route design or coastal protection.



Responsibilities:

- Assist in managing mobilization and demobilization, safety and toolbox

- Set-up and use marine survey equipment

- Inform the project manager of maintenance on vessel and all equipment issues

- Analyze and test ocean samples and sediment data

- Prepare summary reports of data



Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Marine Science, Geology, and Environmental Science.

Master's degree is preferred

- Geology or oceanology course work is preferred

- Must have at least 2 years of experience

- Previous experience with hydrographic surveying in both multi-beam and single beam hydrography is a plus

- Knowledge of operating a small boat or watercraft
