Description: Responsible for coordinating USI's leave of absence
program nationally. Includes short- and long-term disability, FMLA,
state leave, and USI's parental leave program. Responsibilities:
--- Serve as main leave of absence contact for USI. Serve as a
liaison between employee, local HR/management, and disability
provider. --- Complete timecard entries in HRIS time management
system for all employees on a leave of absence. --- Manage state
disability and paid family leave offsets. Work with Payroll team to
ensure accurate leave payments. --- Monitor and track absence
status and return to work dates. Includes updating status in IT and
HRIS system. --- Assist employees in resolving open items with
USI's disability provider to certify and extend leaves. --- Advise
employees on various federal, state, and local leave laws. Includes
FMLA, state specific family leave and disability programs, and
company policies. --- Provide guidance to employees to help them
understand their paycheck while on leave. --- Manage intermittent
leave time and disabled and working arrangements. --- Coordinate
with local HR/management to develop modified work schedules or
return to work dates. --- Maintain up to date knowledge of federal
and state government laws and regulations. Includes tracking state
paid family leave changes. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: --- 2-4
years of experience in employee benefits and leave management. ---
Bachelor's degree required. --- General understanding of employee
benefits as they relate to leave of absence. Includes short/long
term disability, and state disability pay. --- Working knowledge of
employment, federal and state employment laws, and regulations. ---
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint. --- Self-motivated. Ability to multi-task in a fast
paced, team environment. --- Strong verbal, written, and
interpersonal communication skills. --- Strong client service
skills and respect for confidential participant information ---
Ability to set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient,
timely, and accurate processing of transactions. Employment Type:
Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
