Job Summary

Seeking a motivated and experienced individual to become a vital part of our Digital Commerce Program. This person will be focused on planning, coordinating, developing and executing system, integration, accessibility and other types of tests, within a waterfall, agile and hybrid software development methods.The Sr QA Analyst will participate in all software development ceremonies and collaborate as LEAD and contributor for all efforts related to test planning, testing, defects disposition, test automation and reporting progress to relevant stakeholders.This position requires a strong team ethic to work in a fast-paced/dynamic atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively participate in all product development (PD) ceremonies and collaborate with the team(s) to get the requirements and/or user-stories to successful implementation and deployment.
  • Proactively collaborate and coordinate all QA efforts with PD team, including, but not limited to:
    • Identify and finetune acceptance criteria of user-stories and development cycles.
    • Creation, update and maintain test plans and regression suites.
    • Execution of integration, end-to-end, performance, accessibility, and regression testing.
    • Execution via manual, tool base and automatic testing.
    • Report, triage, disposition and verification of defects.
    • Test data preparation for relevant tests.
    • Maintain test effort progress metrics, including but not limited to: planning, design, execution and defect resolution.
    • Periodically prepare QA summary of activities, metrics, results, risks and recommendation to be presented to stakeholders and a final summary that demonstrate the confidence for deployment into production.
    • Collaborate with QA Manager and PD team to identify size, complexity, timelines, risks, resource and skill requirements and other testing requirements.
    • Collaborate with PD team to implement shift-left testing, and other relevant techniques to expedite and improve the testing efforts.
    • Collaborate with QA Manager, Product Owner and UX-design team to incorporate testing for accessibility for users with disabilities as per the defined accessibilities requirements.
    • Support production issue investigation and resolution.

      Required Knowledge & Desired Skills

      • 2+ years practical testing of user-accessibility compliance as per industry standards.
      • 4+ years of testing in scrum or other agile ways of work.
      • 4+ working with/or leading a team of multiple QA members in medium to large projects.
      • Strong software development background.
      • Proven knowledge of test automation capabilities and experience identifying opportunities for its usage to improve the testing process. Required Skills:
        • User-accessibility testing specific:
          • 2+ years of practical experience with testing for compliance with user-accessibility standards like ARIA, WCAG 2.x, section 508 or other ones.
          • Deep knowledge of various assistive technology features, including screen-reader technology and testing methods: JAWS and NVDA for Windows, and VoiceOver for iOS.
          • Up to date on new requirements/regulations surrounding websites/apps/software as they are issued by the Office of Civil Rights, Federal Government, U.S. Access Board, etc. (e.g., ICT Standards and Guidelines, WCAG 2.0, etc.).
          • Experience using digital magnifying devices, video magnifiers (CCTV) or other similar assistive technologies.
          • Experience in performing manual, tools based or automatic testing for user-accessibility requirements.
          • General capabilities:
            • Self-motivated individual to learn new technologies, techniques, tools and methods.
            • Strong analytical capability to identify, analyze, design and execute problem solutions.
            • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Scrum masters, QA manager and other stakeholders.
            • Proven capability to identify, propose or implement improvements in the QA efforts and processes with the available resources.
            • All standard set of skills for an experienced Sr-QA team member, including, but not limited to:
              • Write, update and execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases.
              • Report, triage, and test solutions for defects.
              • Maintain metrics and report effort status.
              • Identify required resources (people, tools, data, etc.)
              • Coordinate resource utilization and distribution of work when required.
              • Usage of standard set of tools used by an experienced QA team member, including:
                • Jira, VSTS (Azure DevOps), ALM-QC and/or other test management systems.
                • Cucumber, selenium, appium and/or other automation frameworks and tools.
                • Postman, Karate and/or other API-testing tools Education:
                  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
                  • Test engineering certifications preferred
