Job Description:

The Distribution Assistant Manager, Contract Packaging & Assembly oversees and ensures that the Production Department operates efficiently and effectively in order to assemble quality products in accordance with project brief specifications. This role is a 2nd shift position 4:00pm-12:15am. The Assistant Manager, Production will be responsible for: Work closely with senior management to ensure upcoming projects are properly prioritized and any potential issues are addressed in advance Determine the proper shipping cartons and obtain quotes, ensuring the cartons are sized properly. Order if needed and ensure receipt prior to the scheduled production date. Work with supervisors at job start up, observe the line running and suggest modifications for greater efficiency Ensure the timely and accurate accomplishment of the weekly/daily production schedule Inform senior management of production progress and any problems encountered with actions taken to resolve Evaluate labor requirements, coordinate, and arrange in-house staff changes or agency temps and/or 2nd shift as required Develop and maintain line standards for each aspect of production (unboxing, labeling, assembling, etc.) Oversee all activities on the Production floor regarding productivity, quality, and adherence to schedule Ensure all OSHA and safety guidelines are being followed in the Warehouse Direct approvals or denial of vacation requests and other scheduled time off for employees according to company policy Document accidents as necessary and communicate details to Safety team Address and resolve employee issues Requirements: At least 5 years prior Warehouse Management experience Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong time management and organizational skills Must be flexible with assigned shift as it may change for certain periods during the year Bi-lingual, English/Spanish preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred Infor MS experience a plusby Jobble
