a 2nd shift role with the hours of 2pm-10:30amSummary:Performs a
variety of maintenance activities related to the facility and
manufacturing equipment to ensure integrity of all day-to-day plant
operations.Responsibilities:Perform plumbing, electrical,
instrumentation, and preventive maintenance on: plant process
equipment, HVAC units, boilers, thermal oil heaters, air
compressors, cooling towers, buildings and offices. Maintenance,
service and improvement recommendations to facility compressed
air/gas supply and to all control systems including mass flow meter
calibration and repairs, temperature and pressure transmitter
calibration and repair, actuated valve maintenance and repair,
control wiring and diagramming, 3-phase motor control, PLC trouble
shooting and programming, and pig launchers and receivers.Lay out,
assembly, installation and maintenance of piping systems and pipe
supports.Maintenance of steam supply, condensate return, process
and cooling water, industrial production and processing
systems.Monitor and maintain boilers and prepare them for
inspections. Complete and document daily boiler and cooling water
testing.Make recommendations on improvements of equipment and
processes and oversee accomplishing those
improvementsPreventative/predictive maintenance of off facility
equipment applying statistical methods as appropriate.Assist plant
production operations when a need arises.Maintain building
exterior, interior and grounds.Assists with the coordination of
outside maintenance services and contractors and oversee any
contractors working at the site.Order and stock parts and tools and
maintain a clean, safe and useable maintenance work area at all
times.Responsible for adherence to safety policies and procedures
qualifications.Custodial responsibility for all installation and
operating permits and equipment operating/maintenance
manuals.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.
Training certifications (or completed apprenticeships) in the areas
listed below are highly preferred:Boiler operator's licenseGeneral
industrial plumbingGeneral industrial electricPneumatic
controlsHVACWelding1+ years previous mechanical maintenance
experience requiredAbility to read, analyze and interpret work
orders, blueprints, SOPs, work instructions, etc.Experience with
computer based maintenance tracking software such as Maintenance
ConnectionGeneral computer skills including e-mail and MS
OfficeExcellent organizational skills.Will work in a manufacturing
environment and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and
toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is exposed to moving
mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and trip and slip
hazards. The noise level in the manufacturing environment is loud.
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. May be required to work in
small spaces and significant heights. May be required to stand for
long periods and walk great distances daily.
