Job Description:
Job Description Job Description We are seeking qualified
candidates for the position of Rehabilitation Counselor to provide
support, education, counseling, and guidance to children or
adolescents who have been identified as having mental health or
developmental disabilities. Other Responsibilities, but not
all-inclusive: ·Assist with the growth and development of the
child/adolescent and the development of therapeutic support skills.
·Provide one-on-one behavioral intervention in the home, school, or
community settings in accordance with strategies identified in the
Treatment Plan. ·Participate in developing goals with the client
for inclusion in the individualized service plan. Qualifications: ·
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services/Social Services, Healthcare, or
related field. At least 1 year of experience working directly with
children; or H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent plus 12 behavioral
health college credit hours from an approved educational program,
plus a minimum of 2 years of experience (paid or unpaid) in a human
service field. The experience must involve direct contact with the
individual receiving services (e.g., coaching, teaching, case
management). · Experience in residential or other services to
children with MR/MH preferred. · Good communication and counseling
skills. · Ability to work independently and as part of a focused
team. · Proficiency in various computer technologies including
Electronic Health Record, Outlook, MS Word and Excel. ·
Fee-for-service experience required and ability to maintain daily
productivity standards using an Electronic Health Record. · Possess
a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Scope:
Frequent talking and listening.· Requires the ability to lift,
carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop, and bend, which may
include direct intervention with residents. May require crisis
intervention for emergencies, including the use of passive
restraints (if necessary). · Possess manual dexterity and fine
